Black Diamonds on Silver Rails
Sunday, September 18, 1:30-3:30PM

Local Historian and railroad fan, Larry Dorsey, presents a program called, "Black Diamonds on Silver Rails," a look at the relationship between coal mining and and the railroads in Western history.

His program will explore this connection from the 19th century to the present and explain why there are so many long trains pulling only coal cars on Colorado railroads.
Haystack Mountain Golf Course
Sunday, October 2, 1:30-3:30PM

This documentary on the Haystack Mountain Golf Course shares the history of the property, the golf course and events that were hosted by the Ebel family for 55 years. The film was created by The Niwot Historical Society and marks the anniversary of the golf course's closure one year ago.

Do you like folk, country, bluegrass, jazz, pop, and light rock? Enjoy Open Stage as an audience member or perform for the community. The musical instrument of choice (your voice, harmonica, guitar, banjo, for instance), your original piece or a cover of someone else's are all welcome. Sound equipment, mics, and a piano are on-hand.

Enjoy FREE heartwarming, foot tapping entertainment...you're certain to be touched by our area's abundance of talent.

Dance is back!

"Circles and Lines" Group Classes

Dancer, teacher, and choreographer Lindy Bartruff is excited to be teaching at the Grange for her second season, her first as lindybdance! Lindy teaches fun and supportive dance and fitness classes for all ages and experience levels!

Classes will be held on the following Tuesdays: October 11, 18, 25, November 15, 22, 29,December 13, 20, 27
5-6PM CircleFit7 Fun dance and aerobic steps are combined in circles or chains to hot tunes.
6-7 PM Line Dance Wall-to-wall routines in lines to Country and contemporary songs.
7-8 PM International Circle Dance Ethnic group dancing in circles or chains, representing celebration, ritual and community.

Tai Chi Classes

The Niwot Community Connection's tai chi exercise group is currently organizing beginning and intermediate lessons to be held at the Grange weekly on Wednesday mornings beginning in October. This group has been meeting outdoors all summer, learning the Yang Long Form.

All ages and fitness levels are welcome. Evidence shows benefits to heart health, improved balance and flexibility, slowed onset of dementia, relief of arthritis and fibromyalgia pain, and ... it's just plain fun!

The highlights:

The Grange is an excellent space for every occasion or event. Two completely open spacious rooms - one with a stage, two bathrooms, and a large kitchen. There's also an upstairs office for meetings. We provide ample tables and chairs to configure for large or small groups. Always free parking and WiFi.

The downstairs area of the Grange is a great place for meetings and functions. The main room can accommodate up to 100 people. There is a full catering kitchen available to use. The upper floor room features wood paneling, a stage area, and a very adaptable seating area.
