Senior Health & Recreation Classes

Beginning Tuesday, October 11
10 AM-Noon

Bo Fan (also known as Mala), former owner of Fan’s Chinese Cuisine and the Niwot Conoco gas station, and longtime licensed practical nurse, is offering "Senior Health and Recreation.” The sessions are geared toward helping Niwot seniors keep their bodies healthy through daily activities and delicious, nutritious foods.

Fan spent 6 years studying at a medical college and has 20 years of experience working in hospitals and nursing homes. And now she’s excited to share her knowledge with Niwotians.

Following this first class, Fan’s presentations will be on the first Tuesday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon at the Grange. Admission is free. For additional information and to sign up for classes, contact Fan at [email protected].

"Circles and Lines" Group Dance Classes

Tuesdays 5-8 PM

Dancer, teacher, and choreographer Lindy Bartruff is excited to be teaching at the Grange for her second season, her first as lindybdance! Lindy teaches fun and supportive dance and fitness classes for all ages and experience levels!

Classes will be held on the following Tuesdays: October 11, 18, 25, November 15, 22, 29,
December 13, 20, 27

5-6PM CircleFit 7 Fun dance and aerobic steps are combined in circles or chains to hot tunes.
6-7 PM Line Dance Wall-to-wall routines in lines to Country and contemporary songs.
7-8 PM International Circle Dance Ethnic group dancing in circles or chains, representing celebration, ritual and community.

Niwot Community Connection Meeting

Tuesday, October 13, 10-11:30 AM

The Niwot Community Connection (NCC) will meet at the Grange on the second Thursday of the month beginning Oct. 13. Meetings will be held from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.

The organization’s mission is “To provide a forum for individuals over 50 years of age in the Niwot area to help build a sense of community and promote opportunities for connection and learning.”

In addition to updates about all of the activities the NCC is providing, the October meeting will feature local artist Jane Langdon. Langdon’s presentation is titled “Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain.”

Do you like folk, country, bluegrass, jazz, pop, and light rock? Enjoy Open Stage as an audience member or perform for the community.

The musical instrument of choice (your voice, harmonica, guitar, banjo, for instance), your original piece or a cover of someone else's are all welcome. Sound equipment, mics, and a piano are on-hand.

Enjoy free heartwarming, foot tapping entertainment...you're certain to be touched by our area's abundance of talent.

The highlights:

The Grange is an excellent space for every occasion or event. Two completely open spacious rooms - one with a stage, two bathrooms, and a large kitchen. There's also an upstairs office for meetings. We provide ample tables and chairs to configure for large or small groups. Always free parking and WiFi.

The downstairs area of the Grange is a great place for meetings and functions. The main room can accommodate up to 100 people. There is a full catering kitchen available to use. The upper floor room features wood paneling, a stage area, and a very adaptable seating area.
